Mavic 3 (9-Frame / Wide Angle) Pano Stitching Issues - Anyone else?

Yeah, as the creator of this thread, I just gave up. Yes, there are some software solutions that can "sort of" help with the 9-frame stitch, but it's not nearly as good just shooting it properly. I've simply revered to doing a full 21-frame pano for everything on the M3 UNLESS (as you note)...

First day with Mini 4 Pro. Returning it tomorrow.

For sure. I have always flown the MP series, but it would be wonderful (one day) if DJI could release a drone < 250g that was truly Pro. Up here in Canada, our rules are < 400ft, but if the drone is under 250g, you can fly it higher (with caution), and you're allowed in some areas that >250g...

That is an insane amount of flare. Wow.

Upgrading from M2P to M3 classic?

Thank you! The composition of the aerial photos in my gallery range from: Mavic 2 Pro, Mavic 3 (24mm), Mavic 3 (160mm), and then a number of them that a multi-stitch panos. And then some of them are also taken from a plane. When I stitch photos together, it ranges. Some are 9 photos, others are...

Upgrading from M2P to M3 classic?

As a photographer, 100% you want the Mavic 3 -- NOT the Mavic 3 Classic. The 7x lens is extremely underrated. Shoot in RAW, and do manual panoramic images; stitch them together and create epic high-megapixel images. Use Topaz Denoise if you want to remove any noise. My aerial gallery is here...

Mavic 3 (9-Frame / Wide Angle) Pano Stitching Issues - Anyone else?

Is it too much to just ask for it to work like it should? :)

Mavic 3 (9-Frame / Wide Angle) Pano Stitching Issues - Anyone else?

The purpose is so that you don’t have to sit around and wait for the camera to take dozens of photos. Often times, I have about five minutes of perfect light. I don’t want to waste it taking photos that I don’t need.

Mavic 3 (9-Frame / Wide Angle) Pano Stitching Issues - Anyone else?

Yeah the 180 panos work well too. The sad thing though is -- when the 9-frame panos work, they are wonderful because they allow you to set the camera to a lower-degree starting point. The 180 or 360 will not allow that. Also, when you are in a rush, taking 9 frames is much faster.

Mavic 3 (9-Frame / Wide Angle) Pano Stitching Issues - Anyone else?

This was the perfect fix, however, with the new firmware it doesn’t work when the camera is level either. That is too bad. Hopefully they resolve this issue, because it is really annoying.

Wishes for Mavic 3 firmware updates

I only have one wish: The ability to automate panos with the 7x camera like you can with the 1x.

New Firmware - 7x camera now has RAW capability!

Amazing! Does the 7x camera also allow for automated panos?

Photography: Mavic 3 vs. Mini 3 Pro

Again, comparing two DNG (RAW) images side-by-side will give us the answer.

Photography: Mavic 3 vs. Mini 3 Pro

Well, it's not irrelevant if the quality of the pixels is the same, but yes, I agree - not all pixels are created equal. When someone has a side-by-side image comparison (DNG images preferably), I would love to see them. If all DJI has done is software enhancement (technical trickery), it will...

Photography: Mavic 3 vs. Mini 3 Pro

I recognize this will be early on, but as a photographer, I would love to get some feedback on the *single image* photo quality of the Mini Pro 3 vs. the Mavic 3. I have the Mavic 3, which shoots a 20MP image. The new Mini Pro 3 shoots a single 48MP image, which is very intriguing to me. If...

Mavic 3 (9-Frame / Wide Angle) Pano Stitching Issues - Anyone else?

Personally speaking, if I have a 26-frame that won’t stitch, it’s usually because of moving clouds or water, and requires manual intervention in either PanoTour (krPano) or Photoshop. So yes, sometimes. :)
