    Mavic Pro batteries dead?

Doesn’t sound right. I charge mine to 100 percent regularly, and they always self discharge when not needed within a few days. Im on my original batteries, after several years, with hundreds of hours on my system. Maybe they just don’t make em like they used to?

    Fireworks

You will be amazed how steady the M2P is even with some wind. Remember, you are already shooting a “moving” subject. Unless you are also recording a dimly lit stationary object, this wont be an issue. Drones actually make pretty good tripods, due to the exceptional gimbal stabilization.

    Fireworks

Contrary to conventional wisdom, long exposures do not blur the fireworks. They are recorded by tracing a path across your sensor as the burst progresses. As long as the camera is reasonably steady, you’re good. Fireworks are actually quite bright, thus the lower iso and aperture required. More...

    Fireworks

Obviously you will need to scope it out in daylight, determine your required minimum altitude. The drone will fly fine without sensors but obstacle avoidance will be useless, and can be fooled by the bursts, so disable it. Remember your strobes, ensure that you have strong satellite coverage and...

    Fireworks

I’m a professional photographer and have photographed fireworks for years. Colin above, is correct. F16 or 11 is best, iso100, and enough time (5-10) seconds to record the burst. No filters should be used, they only cut the already limited light. Here’s the tricky part. Unless you only want to...

Air 2S worked out of the box without IMU / Compass calibration, is this okay?

I only calibrated my original Mavic, once in its lifetime. My M2pro has never been calibrated with hundreds of hours and travel all over the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.

    Kite with a camera attached

I still have a commercial kite which I used for KAP, for quite some time a few years back. It had a picavet arrangement which kept the camera gantry level regardless of the kite angle, and also had a 360 degree radio control rotating gimbal. I did several aerial commercial jobs back in the day...

Damage from a Prolonged Gimbal Motor Stall

Is it only the ribbon cable or the entire gimbal destroyed?

    Video jittery

Looks like vibration induced jello. As RadioFlyerMan stated above, check your vibe plate position, and insure it is free floating below the metal tab.

    Drone Pilot Career?

Dear OP. I might add that offering more than just drone imaging helps tremendously. Many clients want “The whole package” and will hire those who are capable of providing it.

    Drone Pilot Career?

Ok, guess I missed that part. Anyway, the rest still applies, I guess.

    Drone Pilot Career?

Ive been doing this professionally for several years now and it has taken that long to generate a reasonable amount of work. I was previously a landscape and commercial photographer and as others have said, this is more important than drone skills. Also, knowing someone in the industry you want...

WOW Am I the only member that's stuck with the original Mavic Pro??

I still fly my original MP as a backup bird to my MP2. I also use it as my recreational go to, and my son is now starting to fly it as well. Great drone with hundreds of hours and zero problems or defects.

Shout out to all "Professional" Mavic users

Not much. The real estate services have continued to grow, (as you know, real estate is red hot up here now) and expanding services to include construction site monitoring, and online commercials. I have another business and between the two, I am staying quite busy.
