I measured the shade because I couldn't remember and I didn't want to go by price.
Yep, the smaller 8.5" wide fits perfectly. I bought 2 other ones (different make) from AE and they were too small. You'll be happy to have finally found one that works right off the bat!
Yes, I do have an armor case installed but I remove it when flying my mini. I use a small bag for my M2 and without the protective case the tablet slips right into a sleeve on that bag. It's also easier to install when using the shade. No big deal because the armor case is easy to put on and...
I searched everywhere including Banggood and Amazon. AliExpress were the only ones that offered a size that fits. I prefer to avoid AliExpress but sometimes we have no choice like in this case so I took a chance and it worked out.
I have the Galaxy A7 Lite with a 64bit processor, 3g ram and 8.7" screen. It works very well with my M2 after 3 flights. I want to try some flights using Litchi and Dronelink. Sometimes impossible to see the screen on sunny days but after searching on the net I finally found a sunshade that fits...
I bought 2 shades which should have fit from provided dimensions but were too small. I did buy this one which worked perfectly on my Galaxy Tab A7 Lite tablet. Hope it helps you out. Took about a month to receive it. 17.67US $ 16% OFF|7.9/11inch Tablet Screen Hood Monitor Sunshade Cover for DJI...

LT, I totally agree with you and have seen the video from Drone Valley, among others, when I was trying to figure out what the issue was. So far, I consider myself fortunate using the DJI Fly app, no problems whatsoever. My intent is to do future flights using Dronelink. I'll still be watching...
LoudThunder is bangon. Must be a 64-bit processor and min 2g ram. I experienced the same issue. Bought the M2 and couldn't install the app on my cell. So shopped for another option. Bought a Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, no problems running the DJI Fly app which I had to download directly from the DJI...
I also couldn't find a Smart Controller anywhere either but believe we'll see a new controller as seen in those 'insider leaks about the Mini 3'. I hope it'll be compatible with the M2 which would be very popular I'm sure.
