Vultures tend to be very curious about the Mavic. I enjoy flying near them, as they like to come check it out, but don't get too close.

You would have to try it to be sure, but I believe if a RTH was initiated in that case, it never "follows" or returns to the controller location. It will fly back to the last time you tapped home point. Also notice where the "H" is located on your map. That is where it should head to in most RTH...

You are correct. And from my understanding, the HP doesn't automatically "follow" your RC/mobile device when u do this, but records the new HP at the time you tap it. In other words, you have to periodically hit the "home" button to update your position.

Wondering why DJI hasn't developed a water proof drone yet? The technology exists. The percentage of drone fliers that enjoy filming lakes, rivers, oceans, etc. has got to be high. I know current drones work fine over water, but why not have one that will handle the water ? Any rumors?

No issues on Mavic or RC. Always update everything when needed. Only issues was my android and the Go4 app. Figured it out, works perfectly.

You can still get DJI care at anytime after purchase. You just have to jump through a few hoops to prove your Mavic is still in good shape.

I use airplane mode on my S7&5, that turns off most stuff of course, but make sure Wi-Fi off, GPS on...but not required, and ALL background apps and most processes are closed/stopped. I had app crashes before, but not after, doing this.

The last few (3-5) takeoffs, I never got the verbal " The Home point has been recorded..." The map location was correct, plenty of Sat's, etc. So the only way to get that verbal confirmation was to change the "home point" to RC location, then change it back to the takeoff spot. Then I would get...

S7 - nougat, no issues. Decided to use my old S5 strictly for the Mavic....no issues. I turn airplane mode on, Wi-Fi off, GPS on, and close all background apps before I fly. Works great.
