More love for the Air 2S

My Air 2 has also been great, I only wish I'd gone with the 2S because of it's superior camera, especially for low light/night photography. This is from my Air 2 - You can see a lot of noise in it.

Auto or manual exposure for the upcoming solar eclipse

I live about 5 miles east of Forney TX, on US 80. so I'm almost dead center in the path of Totality. But advanced weather forecasts are currently showing a 58% chance of rain, with thunderstorms in the afternoon. So the solar filter that I just bought for my SLR may not be of much use. :( 52mm...

    DJI Ban Questions

"Late addition: I believe that if you are a recreational Drone pilot and you want to fly a drone over 250G outside of a flying field--Your days are numbered." I was flying RC plains based with Heathkit electronics in the late 1970's I'm more concerned about our present situation than I've ever...

    Eclipse

I live between Forney and Terrell TX on US 80. I will be in the totality of the Eclipse: I will also work from home that day because traveling around here will be pretty much impossible.

Drone vs Hornet's Nest - An Epic Battle

"Bald-faced hornets will attack anyone or anything that invades their space, unlike other stinging insects that may only sting when they feel extremely threatened. They are easily agitated by outside noises and are sensitive to vibrations, which often travel through the air."...

    Aircraft warnings

Also, for drones that do support AirSense, make sure that it is enabled DJI Fly. I have noticed that several time, this feature "turnsed itself off" and has to be reenabled.

Voice Control your drone with this app

Also, while on the subject of patents, have you disclosed this idea to a patent attorney? :)

As a hardware engineer with 40 years of experience, that started his career working with programmers that used machine language, AI is a tremendous paradigm shift. I am a named inventor on 37 patents, so "new stuff" is in my blood. Having said that AI still gives me pause.

Philadelphia vlogger Faces fines of $200,000

So far, in East Texas, I have yet to have a Karen encounter. Just a couple of weekends ago, I met two more people that were fascinated by my drone and wanted to know more about the "hobby". I also have a neck pouch that "conspicuously" shows my TRUST Certificate. I fly VLOS, but I also agree...

    Soldering skills (not mine!)

I also did the hobby board thing with the copper clad board and ferric chloride. You could buy both at Radio Shack & Burstien Applebe.

OK, I'll chip in and say the Weller soldering stations are still good. I recently picked up one the ones the continuously variable temperature and the digital readout. It also heats up quickly. The old school stations with the "temperature" tips were also good. But you had to have the right...

I got my license in 1979. I also have been inactive and I am dusting off my Kenwood TS-430S getting an antenna set up etc. Thanks for the info on the Morserino32, :)

"a microprocessor-based system for training my CW" Do tell. I learned CW enough to pass my HAM tests, but now I am considering revisiting CW.

I would give it a 1 or 2 also. I'm an electronic hardware engineer and I've soldering for 50+ years. I've also had some decent Weller soldering stations throughout the years. But there are lots of good alternatives these days.
