Thanks Frank. It has not arrived yet. I chose the model because it was cheap. I just want to dip my toes in the water cheaply. If I enjoy it I will be upgrading.

    Birds and drones

I will repeat it: I am not buying a drone to photograph birds.

    Birds and drones

I have been retired since 1988 and I am doing everything in my power to not even think about getting a job.

    Birds and drones

Well I read most of 14 CFR 107 rules, and I see nothing that pertains to me. My RV roof has no gutters, it is 33 x 8 feet and located under a large live oak tree. So no one would even be able to see me flying. I don't need to fly over it just next to it. It is a flat roof so it will take one...

    Hello.........and Goodbye.

No I am not even thinking of bird photography. I live in am RV park in central Florida and I get plenty of bird shots in my yard. A drone will never get me as near as I need to be. I am getting a cheap one to inspect the roof of my RV. I live next to a lagoon that I frequently see gators.

    Hello.........and Goodbye.

I am new here and I am starting out with a $99 drone to see how it goes. If it is all gloom and doom then I will forget about it and laugh off the $99. If I fall in love with the hobby I will get an expensive one. I have no idea how restrictive this hobby is but I live in an RV park on a small...

    Bird Strike Survived

I am a retired bird photographer and I have been attacked by smaller birds who were defending their nest. Hummingbirds are the boldest. I have also been attacked by blackbirds. They never actually make contact, they just kept buzzing my head to give me the message that I was too close to a nest...

    Birds and drones

Hi - I am new here with my first question. I have a Tactic Air Drone on order and it should arrive sometime next month. I am a retired bird photographer and I am wondering if there are any rules about photographing birds with a drone. I did not buy it to photograph birds, I have other uses, such...
