I had a worse issue with my gimbal. Probably 2 times worse then yours. I just reflashed the firmware, did the imu, reset camera settings and it fixed all my jitter/jello/smoothness issues.
Nicely done! I come from a racing background as well. I found the Mavic really difficult to fly at first because I'm used to using roll to turn sharply. I had to relearn flying in level mode again using more yaw. Anyway, keep it up and try not to lose the muscle memory for racing haha
ya fair enough, I'm running a decent machine so I don't have too much lag. Have you tried using Dynamic RAM preview in Vegas? It works pretty good for short clips. Just highlight the clip, and Shift+B.
Are you converting your videos to 1080 pre edit because your machine isn't fast enough? I'm not even using Sony Vegas, I'm just using Sony Movie Studio 13 platinum and I can edit in 4k no problem and export into whatever resolution and frame rate I choose.
You can try using the Course Lock mode as well. You can control the speed easily but the altitude might be tough. The good thing about course lock is that you can yaw to capture your subject without having to worry about having to look forward if you know you have a clear path. This mode is good...
I just discharge all my lipos to 50% and then throw them in a lipo bag. I did a test with leaving the Mavic in the bag and taking it out of the bag through security. When left in the bag they didn't recognize the shape so they pulled me aside to inspect it. As soon as I took it out I showed them...
So it works if you tap to focus on a specific object? If you tap to focus into the distance and set it to infinite it's still blurry? I'm doing more testing this Monday, but I'm pretty sure mines defective.
I finally had a chance to look at my videos from November before all firmware updates and upon closer inspection, I've had the right side focus issues since day one. I just never noticed it until I really had a hard look at it. Looks like another defective unit.
I'm in Alberta so there's nothing to shoot here but snow, so I may not be a good baseline test. I am using the filters in Hawaii in February but I figure by then there should be a lot of testing examples on YouTube. I'm doing some more extensive testing Monday with the filters, I'll let you know.
This app is actually part of my preflight checklist. It took me a couple minutes to figure out that I needed to set my Mavic into Auto first to see what values are listed in the current lighting, but after I figured that out it works like a charm, thanks!
