A lot of times you just need a different perspective of what you would shoot on the ground. Slot of times you want to shoot at 10-30ft up not necessarily 100-400. Experiment, everything old is new again.

A portable sad will help, I use two, one for the project files and one for the scratch disk. What will help more is to use a proxy workflow, that will use much smaller easier to edit files as substitutes for the 4K files. When you export...it applies your edits to the 4K files.

I don’t have the mavic 2, but for the p4p the resolution of the cached video is 720p even if your recording 4K. And the cached video will also have any transmission quality issue as well. The video on the SD card is of much higher resolution and image quality.

I got it sorted out, apparently my DJI assistant was pretty out of date.

So I got a replacement Mavic Air and it keeps telling me to calibrate the vision sensors. I hook it up to DJI assistant and the calibration doesn’t even get off the ground. There is an error on the third set of instructions. Any advice? I’ve tried on my MacBook Pro and on my Windows PC. Same...

I use a photo hatchback by Lowe pro. Everything fits (fly more combo + another battery. And a little room for extras. It’s not a solution for hiking, not enough room for essentials, but it works for walks around the city.

Did you attempt to fly out of the NFZ? When you get unlock exceptions from DJI you have specify the radius you want unlocked, when you use the exception....everything outside that radius becomes a NFZ until you turn off the exception.

Mine does not transition on its own. When I forgot my card the other day, I had to manually change it to record to internal memory.

I still have the phone and it is in perfect condition. Only used to fly the Mavic air and kept in a cushioned pelican case when not in use.
