Maybe the drone is trying to alert you to the fact that it's illegal to fly in Santa Monica and over freeway traffic.

My advice is send it in. DJI makes it pretty easy and affordable and the turnaround time isn't bad. I spent a lot of time stressing over this issue and ultimately sent mine in and felt better about it.

Dropping price to $315. Not desperate to sell but also just want to move on and not have it taking up space.
