    ANGRY GOLFERS

Many airports are adjacent to golf courses. It seems that our little toys shouldn't be that much of a distraction. But then... "people"... it takes all kinds. While you're out there, look for golf balls and collect them. You can buy a new set of props or something.

New drone pilot wannabee from London/Kent

Congratulations! I completely understand those feelings. As silly as it may sound, when I first got my Mavic, I had very similar feelings as my first solo plane flight and my first few skydives. LOL I tried "starting" it inside the house. After all, it should just rise about 3-4' or so...

    New Pilot - Concerns

You sound pretty normal to me. Just wait until you want to take your portable telescope, power supply, eyepieces, etc too! '_

    Focal lenght extender ?

Extending the focal length is done by putting a converter between the camera body and the camera's lens. Nothing added to the front of the lens is going to do that. This is why you're having a hard time finding such a thing.

    Flight Time Conditions

DEMAND A REFUND!! LOL That app is only worth 10% of what you paid for it. ;) Perhaps if you live deep in a cave and can't see the outdoors, it may have some use. I deleted that app right after downloading it and looking at it. It's pretty much a waste of space on a device.

Mavic 2 Pro - 1st Drone & nervous but excited to fly (Eastern Ontario)

Congratulations and enjoy your trip! First, read and fully understand the instructions for your first flights. Take it outside to an appropriate location and just play with it as much as you can. If you are going out on a commercial boat. Call the owner and ask if it's OK. If it's a friend's or...

OMG! Too Close & Noob Moment

Thanks for posting this. Hopefully, it's a learning experience for everyone who reads this. When I first got mine, I couldn't get it to do anything at all. I was in my living room and it's about 1,000' from the airport runway. LOL. NO FLY ZONE inside my own house. I spent a couple of weeks...

    Dropping cargo with parachute

If someone hasn't already started one, this could be a 'sub-sport' like they had/have in skydiving. Accuracy contest. Back in 'the good ol' days' when they used round, unsteerable or barely steerable parachutes these were common. Unlike today's steerable with precise accuracy parachutes, the...

    Drones and Military Jets

Why would you even be flying there in the first place? When flying a drone over national forest lands, you are required to yield to manned aircraft... period.Tonto National Forest - Home Your flying below 2,000' AGL, You're flying in a clearly marked Bald Eagle Breeding area.AZGFD.gov Outdoor...

What do You Think Real or Fake

Why are people calling those things 'drones'? Drones are not manned. UAV = Unmanned Arial Vehicle. Those thing (above) are manned aircraft. (or perhaps womanned aircraft) :D

The fake Mavic batteries have arrived.

These batteries have the same Amazon 4 1/2 star rating as the batteries with the DJI logo on them. Both have 300+ reviews and you can get two for $115.99. DJI doesn't manufacture batteries. DJI outsources them. (from Chinese battery manufacturers ;))
