Vortex ring state (settling with power) and effective translational lift are some of the issues I was thinking about. I guess the technology in many drones can compensate and thus avoid these issues. Interesting!
As a former commercial helicopter pilot, I had to learn a great deal about helicopter aerodynamics as well as the effects of wind in flight. I notice that the forum does not have any section for such discussion. Are there no significant aerodynamic concerns in drone operations?
Hello davery87, thank you for taking a moment to respond to my question! I did have the Advexure website quickly pop up as soon as I searched "Drone Stores in Las Vegas" but quickly became frustrated with their trickery!!! Here's what I mean by "Trickery." When their website popped up It has a...
For the Mavic 2 Pro, can the hard case for the drone (for $169.00) also house the Dji Smart Controller? In the item description it does mention it can hold the remote controller. I assume that means the small remote controller you connect your phone to. I want to know if it will hold the Smart...
When operating in controlled airspace and proper FAA authorization has been granted through LAANC, is there any requirement to monitor the control tower frequency on an VHF Transceiver? If not, how does the tower communicate any pertinent information to the drone pilot?
Another question along the same line....With the equipment that comes with the Mavic 2 Pro drone, how long of a video (time) could one produce? I'm not concerned about battery "flight time", but more about memory capacity. At what point would I need to get additional memory card(s)?
In my case (the original post) I would like to have other company personnel (older than 16) operate the drone under part 107 while I directly supervise. Lets assume for now I am Part 107 certified.
