    FAA Part 107 Recertification

I don't understand either. Violations of the FAA regulations can land you in front of an administrative law judge with significant civil penalties hanging in the balance. FAA regulations all seem theoretical until you're a defendant up against highly trained FAA lawyers/prosecutors.

    FAA Part 107 Recertification

Took the part 107 exam two days ago and passed on my first try with an 85%. I was averaging 91-92% on my practice exams. The actual test is tricky and will require one to really put in the time and effort to learn the material. While its not as hard as the Bar exam, its still pretty tough.

Hand Catching Mavic Air 2 Motor Shutdown

I takeoff from my palm and land in my palm on the daily. Looks cool and drone never touches the ground. Win-Win.

Where did you order your Mavic Air 2 from and why?

From DJI. I wanted mine straight from the source.

Ah. I didn’t think about that.

Have you heard of the Skydio drone? I just looked into it today. Apparently it’s an excellent intelligent drone that supposedly has the best active track performance on the market.

    Keeping MA1

Fair point. I never had any use for the 3 features listed because (1) I like to manually takeoff and fly the drone, (2) flying with the phone without the controller seems inherently unsafe (due to flyaways and connectivity) and unnecessary if I have the controller handy and ready to use. Also...

    Hello

yeah absolutely! How do you like your M2P and smart controller? I just started flying my Mavic Air 2 and own a Mavic Air.

    Keeping MA1

Yeah no doubt. Like the MA1, the environment can greatly impact the range and connectivity of the MA2. I myself have flown my MA2 out 2-3 miles and for me that's good enough. I'm also thinking of keeping my MA1 as a backup incase I crash my MA2 has to get repairs. I love both drones. I have...

I'm interested too. I'm trying to get flights in all of the Maryland counties. I'd like to join the group and link up with some high flyers

    Keeping MA1

Awesome thanks man. I'll start a new thread offering it up. I have 5 batteries, prop guards, a DACKIT carrying case and everything. I haven't flown the MA1 more than 30 times so its in very good condition along with the controller and accessories. Hopefully I can find a good home for it.
