Maybe so, but can get the MP1 at a considerable discount vs MP2. Buying the latest and greatest is not always the best choice when it comes to tech. To me, the improvements in the MP2 don’t warrant my spending the extra dollars. The MP1 is more than enough for my needs.
I bought my first drone, the Mavic Pro, a month ago and it’s flying great - no issues whatsoever.
However, I use common sense, follow the rules, and don’t try to see how far I can get before falling out of the sky!
It is precisely THIS immature, irresponsible attitude that forces the government to write new regulations for our hobby and ruin it for everyone. If you can’t follow the rules, find another hobby.
