    Carrying Mavic batteries when flying

You need to keep your batteries in your carry-on and, unless you have a hard case, keep your mavic and other camera equipment with you as a carry on. I fly 3 to 4 times a month usually and always have my mavic or phantom with me with 4 extra batteries. I've never had a problem. I fly Delta...

New Mavic Owner Near Harrisburg, PA

State Farm is great. I have all my drones and camera gear covered by a PAP policy. It literally only costs me $14 a month to cover $15K in gear. I recently sold my Phantom 4 to a colleague whom 1) didn't pay me, 2) didn't wait for instructions or training and 3) wrecked the drone because the...

    Eclipse Photos

Mavric1008 - that is sweet! Your photos are the first I've seen showing solar flares. You got the same ones that I did. Duhh, I get it that everyone saw the same thing, but, it is still very cool in my opinion. I will add some higher resolution photos when I get home from the office.

    Eclipse Photos

I used a Nikon D500 with 200-500 AF- S Nikkor Lens and TC-14E III teleconverter. For the corona shots, I did not use a filter. When the sun was exposed, I used a Lee 100x100 mm Eclipse Filter in a Lee Holder. The pictures of the shadow moving across the sun are kinda of boring. But, honestly, as...

    Eclipse Photos

I'm working on my drone video and pictures, but wanted to share a couple of photos from my DSLR. Flame for posting non-mavis photos, I just wanted to share.

So some cops approached me today...

MavicBob - would you mind sharing your presentation (if it is on a computer), I need to do the same thing and if someone else has done the legwork, it will be much easier! If not, I do understand.

Post your best Photo From Mavic

Awesome photo! You nailed the moment. One suggestion, if you have the software, I think this photo would be even better if you added a picture or two below in a vertical panorama. That would make your horizon not right in the middle and closer to the "rule of thirds" composition. Just my...

Anyone fly with Another Mavic Pro?

My kids and I have flown my P4, P4P and Mavic simultaneously and not had issues. (Other than my son flying too aggressive and my daughter too scared of wrecking. Any interesting combination.)

New Mobile Device for Mavic Pro and P4

I use my first generation 9.7" iPad Pro and iPhone 7 plus on both my Mavic and P4P. I have absolutely no issues with the Mavic and very few with the P4P. I say few as I'm having trouble with my P4P but I don't think it is the firmware or tablet. I had a gimbal failure on my first P4P and DJI...

    Official Mavic Pro Range Leaderboard!

I agree absolutely. Unbelievably, I have a Phantom 3Adv, Phantom 4 and P4P, but I have never tried this distance thing. Since my Mavic Pro is so small, I carry it with me all the time and decided to try this since I was out in the county driving home after checking on some employees this...

    Official Mavic Pro Range Leaderboard!

I tried my first try for a long distance flight today in fairly windy conditions - 15 mph, but I flew the distance so the wind was a cross wind. My set-up is completely stock. I'm not sure on the rules for this board. My max distance is 20,084', but, I ended up with forced due to 10% at...
