Sure, but if you don't use them (letting the Shield on its own, sleeping unplugged from the charger) they shouldn't drain the battery whatsoever, right?
Ok, I was asking because I did, too, remove everything I could on mine (I only use it for the Mavic), but I still find the battery running out of juice pretty fast.
Thanks and happy new year! :)
Yes, right after.
Even worse: After the upgrade, I had checked at home (with my wifi connection, so I was connected to DJI Servers since I have a Shield K1 which doesn't have cellular capacity) and everything was ok (after the upgrade).
Then, arriving on my flying spot, the **** thing...
And that's exactly because I do that that I can say that the problem is not from there but from the fact they don't allow to domnload the Upgrade FW in local first and then, apply it, wich would "secure" the process.
Upgrading a FW is no small process. Nobody wants to add some potential...
Nope it's not. Many Android users have the same problem. Only with DJI GO app, not with Litchi (in my case).
And it's a real pain because every time you fly, you wonder what will happen. :(
Hi there.
Are you really sure this "gimbal overload" problem comes from the cable?
I ask because every (few) times I got this was after an FW upgrade and it was "cured" redoing the upgrading process and sometimes 3 or 4 times (this process sucks a lot since it can only be connected which means...
Typical from an upgrade that didn't went through correctly.
I suggest you replug your Mavic and try to upgrade again, again, and again.
And again again if necessary.
It took me several tries to finally succeed.
The DJI Assistant is a piece of crap that tells you what it wants not relying on...
You mean the build of my Mavic? No, I don't know it, but I bought it in November 2016 and received it in January 2017.
But you know, that's exactly why I said that their approach of upgrading is ******: relying only on internet connexion is looking for problems. This is why *everybody* knowing...
I think I'm not the only one having problems with *each* FW upgrade: only on this board, there are many threads talking about people *not wanting* to upgrade at all! :)
I really don't see where there would be a problem when all you have to do it plug a drone in a USB port, and click on...
That's totally false.
I always upgrade through that piece of crap and it *always* fail at least once.
For this lats .008 one, it's only 4 times I tried. And I stopped as it still disn't work. (One battery nearly completly emptied).
I'll try again tomorrow, maybe the DJI servers will be...
