my grandkids wouldn’t let me try their little toy drone “because I might crash it”. So I got an M2P eighteen months ago and never looked back. Much more forgiving than their toy, with all the technology. I make them beg me to take the controls.
I flew all the way across the Columbia River with the cover on once, no damage done. I felt stupid... Now I keep a rubber band around the controller so I remember to raise the antennae, and a strip of red flagging on the gimbal cover to make its presence apparent
Thank you for responding. Yes, you have to disconnect the phone and restart it. When you are all reconnected and set to go you get the same warning and a repeat. The phone seems to lose functionality with the appearance of the warning.
Twice now I have had warnings that I am in a restricted zone with the option to reply “yes” to an agreement to fly responsibly. However, the screen freezes, won’t recognize finger taps, and you cannot get rid of it. You can still fly, but can only see the sides of the iPhone screen not covered...
Got myself a mavic pro 2 the other day. Was instantly intimidated by the rules, and by the complexity of the device. I've been reading the forum and found a lot of useful information and downloads. Thanks, everyone, for sharing knowledge!
