Anyone else as disappointed in the lack of quality with the gimbal protectors? I know these are going to last about 5 minutes. Has anyone seen any aftermarket gimbal locks/lense covers yet? I get nothing on a Google search.
OPINION/RANT: So I am finding myself a bit put off by these Uber for drones businesses like Dronebase and the new Droners.io (powered by PrecisionHawk). While I have been on 20 Dronebase missions (real estate/insurance) earning $1735 over 8 months and 2 Droners.io insurance missions earning...
$800 is steep. I normally wouldn't pay that much for these...they are worth half that IMO BUT for what they allow me to do they will pay for themselves in a short time. They do take some getting used to. Good luck!
I didn't mean it to come across that way. You of course can groan about anything you wish to. I was just sharing my perspective and why I feel that way. Groan on brother, groan on. Also I was responding to SteelFlyer's post, not you directly :)
Nice! I keep telling myself I need to get a 3D printer. I've opted for the velcro route for now. I'll second the comment that the image in the BT-300's is very good for maintaining compostion etc. The sun can get a bit too bright depending on it's angle and where you are standing, I find that...
I'm not groaning because I am a STRONG advocate for following the rules. They are in place for everyones safety and not following the rules just screws everyone over BUT I don't agree with your interpretation on VLOS. I fly commercially and from that perspective the ONLY reason you fly is to...
Loving my BT-300's so far. They do have a few quirks. I went with Velcro for mounting as those mounts that come with them are just comical. The nose bridge needs some adjustment for me as it slides down on a hot day. The real PITA is that the BT-300 android interface draws power from which ever...
After updating the BT-300s last night I finally got a chance to take a 20 minute flight with them this morning. All I can say is my initial impression is that they kick ***. I can see the screen AND maintain VLOS easily. I just don't get how anyone cannot love these but I guess everyone is...
I've recently thrown my hat so to speak in the FPVish ring. I had pre-ordered a pair of DJI goggles then realized that per the FAA anyone flying a UAS for fun or work must maintain the aircraft in thier visual line of sight. So now I have ordered a pair of the Epson Moverio BT-300 "augmented"...
