It was a little windy. 7-10 mph from the west. Gusts around that time to ~15. But at that time of take off it wasn’t bad. I’ve flown in worse and been compelled to RTH before I even got high wind warnings. This wasn’t bad.

If doing a straight out and up shot over water, has anyone thought about tethering the drone with heavy test fishing line and some floats?
I'm right there with you. The rules say you have to put the registration on your drone but they don't call it a registration number on the certificate of registration, they call it a certificate number. I am a very literal person. If they want a registration number, they should call it such.
