A reviewer mentioned a remote coming out that didn't need a smartphone. I can't find mention of this in the video. Can anyone tell me where the info comes from?

How necessary are they? It's 9 pounds on dji.com with shipping of £10.19 making it a cool 19.19 for a small piece of plastic; albeit one that protects my 800 pounds machine. But what would you do? I'm not sure I can bear to spend that much.

Hmm. So I should probably use the remote too. I just find it clumsy to put together. I’ve heard people mention here that you don’t have to connect the phone via cable to the remote. Is that true! I suppose that makes things easier.
