Official DJI Response to the GPS Issue

I have the long GPS initialization times with the Mavic 3 and Airsense seems to be working fine for me.

Precision Landing and GPS Drift Issues with the Mavic 3

I have been following all these guidelines but no luck with precision landing, but I've not flown since I posted my original post in this thread (weather hasn't been good).

Precision Landing and GPS Drift Issues with the Mavic 3

I am using a 30" landing pad with a nice H pattern on it, but no joy. I will try a few delayed ascent maneuvers, but I'm also already doing that, but I may not be waiting long enough.

    What's up with Mavic3 and trees ?

In my case, it clipped small branches while descending due to APAS, I wasn't even touching the controls. This was on the first day I had the drone, so I can't trust it in this scenario, direct experience. Drone's fine otherwise, no damage or even a scratch, but APAS still needs work.

    What's up with Mavic3 and trees ?

It doesn't do as well of a job when trees have lost their leaves and there are small naked branches. Mine went downward when I wasn't touching the sticks, apparently due to APAS and ended up clipping narrow branches that were beneath the drone. Fortunately, it wasn't very high (4 feet) and was...

Precision Landing and GPS Drift Issues with the Mavic 3

Hi, I've had my Mavic 3 for about a week, and after flying about a 5 of those days, I have yet to see the Mavic 3 use Precision Landing. It's aways off by a range of 5 to 15 feet or so. Also, while flying with the camera straight down, without touching the controls, I see it drift a bit. It...

Today I got a Firmware warning to Calibrate the Vision Sensors with DJI Assistant - Why?

They all look good, but I just wiped them all down just in case, but the error remains. So, I recalibrated and the error went away. But, why should it suddenly lose this calibration? Any ideas why this occurred? I'm primarily glad that there wasn't a camera failure or other electronic issue...

Today I got a Firmware warning to Calibrate the Vision Sensors with DJI Assistant - Why?

Today, I was getting ready to send my Mavic 2 Pro up for some Autumn Foliage shots around my house, and I got a Firmware Abnormal Warning. When I selected it, it said "Calibrating the Vision Sensors with DJI Assistant on a PC or Mac is recommended." Any idea why I got this today? I last flew...

Will this 4k monitor work for editing photos on my laptop?

I have my monitors mounted on a Varidesk so I have to keep the weight down. As such, 2 27" monitors, 2 of the LG 27UL850 monitors. They're pretty accurate for color and I also calibrate them with an XRite i1Display Plus (a little overkill for this, but I wanted the higher LUX capability for my...

    I had my first crash

I agree on manual return for flight skills, and if the drone is nearby, I always land it manually. If I do use RTH, I watch it like a hawk to be sure it's doing fine. I've found that the M2P does an admirable job doing a RTH. My driveway has trees around it giving me a 50' circle or so to...

Where do I find information on the FAA UAS Initial Aeronautical Knowledge Test?

I got a fast reply, just 21 minutes after I asked [email protected] from a very nice person. However, I think I misinterpreted the initial email announcing the test from the FAA, and thought it was announcing BOTH the new Part 107 tests/training as well as the long promised initial pilot test for...

Where do I find information on the FAA UAS Initial Aeronautical Knowledge Test?

Just a few minutes ago, I got an email from FAASafety saying this (I don't yet have my Part 107): If you do not hold a Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate you must: Take the UAS Initial Aeronautical Knowledge Test Knowledge tests may be scheduled on the Airman Certificate Testing Service (ACTS)...

2 Pro Nor'Easter Snow in New England

First, that was a MP2, not a Mini 2 (I do have one of those as well, but I too wouldn't risk the little bird in this weather). Key to this was not leaving the bounds of my property (well, not more than 10 feet or so). I also use a Marco Polo on it JUST in case to make sure I do find it should I...

    Scary flight today

Wow Phil, what do you do with 100 (31 active?) DJI Aircraft? How do you use them? DJI must love you!
