Maybe that means that they do have a batch in stock but are waiting on DJI's okay to release? And that batch is now all reserved.

Interestingly, a rep from DJI is replying to technical inquiries on all three kits listed on B&H, some even from today.

Imagine all the millions of dollars that could have been saved over the past 3-5 years had it not been for things like tariffs and changes in shipping practices and kitting, common carrier fees, returns, support questions, credit card billing issues, phone calls to DJI, technical support, remote ID implementation, DJI brand embargo, etc......all with excessive government intervention in common. If we could magically go back 3 years and launch the Mavic 4 Pro looks at the insane costs involved that we could not have imagined. The longer I use my Mavic 3 Pro and forgo purchasing the Mavic 4 Pro the more it costs DJI. Add Covid on top of that....these are the dark years for the community and it's not over yet.

the 30% China Tariff is to last till the end of 2025 so there will most likely never be a price drop this year. So we end up paying about $500 extra for this drone.

Right now it's only 90 days or until a deal is met, but it could be extended. Note that there was already a 20% tariff on DJI/Chinese drones before the current negotiations.

It wasn't China that ignored all existing trade agreements and slapped every country in the world (except Russia and North Korea) with punitive tariffs.
Even countries that the US had a trade surplus with and a free trade agreement got hit.

Most countries already had punitive tariffs on the US. Current negotiations should put us in a BETTER position regarding tariffs on US goods.

The only thing dramatic here is the notion that the US tariff on imports from China is fluctuating wildly on a daily basis.

That said, I'm not blaming B&H at all. I'm simply noting that their current Mavic 4 Pro pricing likely reflects the possibility of having to absorb costs associated with a 145% tariff. The existing 30% tariff wouldn't come close to justifying such significantly inflated prices.

And remember, before all of this happening, there already was a 20% tariff, so the delta is really 10%.
