I have landed and take off with my Mavic Air using my palm with no problems. While holding the throttle down I simply wait for it to descend onto my palm. Then the motors shut off.

Actually I am trying to do this on a Crystal Sky with the DJI Go4 App.... I never knew it could be done with the app... But I'll give anything a shot... Thanks...
