The main difference in the two is that the Air 3 is a camera drone and the Avata is an FPV drone. Two different categories of drones. I read it as 3rd party apps. Meaning, the API they offer to tap into the DJI logic will only be supported on Android. I dont think it means they are stopping the iOS Fly App which is 1st party.

Not all planes are required to broadcast ADS-B, especially small private planes. The best option is to do the best you can with awareness of the area. Side note, the Mini 3 Pro does not have ADS-B either but they are flown all the time without issue.
