Greetings all, just got my new RC Pro 2 and so far love it, it's quite a different feel from the RC Pro for me, not quite as solid feeling but will get used to it. My question is replacing the joysticks with shorter ones, has anybody done this and does it impact how they fold away or anything else?, I'm guessing no but just wanted to be sure, the original ones seem a bit high for me so want to see how shorter ones feel.

TIA

I'd be a bit cautious. Amazon has dozens of joystick offers, but they offer by drone model and the joysticks don't look like the ones on the RC Pro 2. I'd imagine the threading would fit, but I can't be sure about how the folding works. Most offers are in the $6-9 range and some appear to be a bit shorter. That's not much money to roll the dice on.. But be very careful not to cross-thread the replacements and fold very slowly until you are sure

I have the RC Pro 2 and have been looking at getting a backup pair of joysticks. I found some but they look like the same height:

Robot or human?

I imagine they'd be ok....but I'm not fully trusting replacements that are pictured with the RC Pro & RC 2

the OP was asking about sticks for the RC Pro 2; not the same controller as the other two. Maybe the threading is OK and they'd fit the fold-able process, but that's not certain

Shorter is not better at all and in fact will make doing precise things harder A much better option in my opinion is to adjust the gain and expo to a way the operator feels more "natural".
These adjustment are hardly ever played with by most drone users here and I never understood that. Its like buying a new car and instead of simply adjusting the seat they stretch or struggle to reach the pedals.
Give it a try you may just find the controller you always wanted is actually the one you already have.

Only concern with these two are that there are 0 sales or reviews. Whoever buys them first will be the beta tester. Although it would be a cheap test, unless it messes up something on the RC2 Pro controller.
true

problem is those are the only ones, at Amazon, specifically designated for the RC Pro 2. Amazon has all kinds of offers for Joysticks designated for the RC, RC Pro, & RC 2. I'd assume the threading would be the same as the RC Pro 2. But the folding process on the RC Pro 2 might render them useless. Although 5 or 6 dollars isn't much of an investment

StartRC has a pair:

joysticks

and they are a reputable company

it's a little irritating that DJI doesn't include and extra pair of joysticksfor a $1200 RC
