I am not concerned with debris entering the motors. I was repeating what I saw listed as a reason to use these covers. With care and judicious flying the motors should never have an opportunity to have foreign objects in them. Do you believe these covers to be an unnecessary item?
My mavic pro can warm up to 30 centigrade in about 3 minutes in 20 degree weather. Yes , it digs into flight time but it will be a safer shorter flight. Alternately you can keep the battery warm in an insulated container and only expose the battery to cold weather just before flight.
I see these colorfully dust cover for the motors on the mavic pro and mini. They are supposed to protect the from debris entering the motors. I am more concerned with this covers causing the motors to overheat! Anyone have any opinion or experience to share about this? Thank you
Need to allow the battery in the aircraft to warm up by hovering in place before flying. Do not fly with a cold battery as this could cause the aircraft to shut down in flight
Utube has many good clips for part 107 education. Udemy.com also has what I think are excellent courses for about 10$ each that are yours for a lifetime to review. I particularly liked and used this course for my Part 107 preparation...
True, Actually an obvious statement. However, I see statements on the internet, and even on this forum, by drone pilots describing their drones at 500 feet AGL and more. You tube had a video of a hexacopter at 1100 feet AGL. Is this a possible reason for the increased controls described in this...
Thank you for the warm welcome and pointing me to the right forum. This FAA proposal is very concerning and I am curious to know how other drone pilots have received the news and how they think it will effect their ability to fly in the future.
