It all depends on what you're willing to carry. Being old with not as good of eyesight as I used to have, I like to get as large of screen as possible. Plus the Max has more zoom if you're planning on doing much photography with it.
This is true, however I like to film myself hiking or mountain biking. I have enough challenge not crashing on my mountain bike without also trying to fly a drone at the same time :) Therefore I find the active tracking to be useful.
I agree 100% about the switching between recording a video and taking a photo, very cumbersome. You have to go into the app, then pull out a menu, then make your selection.
