Because it is just so easy to double click an image. To use the "Open with" option you have to right click the image and then choose which option you want to use. Having opened the image with Office you can do all sorts of simple editing things like re-size, play with brightness, contrast, crop...
I think I may have confused some of you by the way in which I asked the question. I am probably 60-70% conversant with PSE but my question is much more simple. If I go to my pc now and open a jpeg (using the default Office 2010) and then zoom in at whatever % is more than the whole image fitting...
I am using a MM and when I take stills I like to look at them on a pc running Windows 8.1 using Office 2010 (desktop with a large screen). Normally all images open so that you can see everything so at a % which is less than 100% if it's a large file, i.e. the image fits the screen. That happens...
Thank you for that. But I'm still not sure how to calibrate the compass that is in the iPad. It's the "figure of eight" mentioned in post #7 that has got me confused. Horizontally ? vertically ? Do I hold it vertically as if I was washing a window and do figure of eight movements ? Or hold it...
I have managed to work out how the compass works (I think !) But I can only get it to show if I agree to allow the map app to show my location when I am in satellite mode. And when I do that then the compass moves whenever I turn the iPad round. But if I zoom right in the compass stops moving...
Small update. I have managed to find the compass on the iPad. It does behave a bit awkwardly insofar as when I pull it up on the map the pointer is always at about 5.0 o-clock and it twizzles the map round accordingly. When I use my fingers to twizzle the map back to where I think it should be...
Thank you very much for that. I will certainly see if it all works for me. When you say "figure of eight" do you mean holding it horizontally like a tray as if you had cups of tea on it or vertically like say a steering wheel ? Or maybe holding one edge as if you were putting a book back in a...
I have searched this Forum and found this Topic and wondered if anyone would mind if I shared my problem with a view to asking for some help. I have a Mavic Mini and am using a Mini Ipad4 but it is only wiFi and not cellular. I am not an Apple person, in fact I do not use a smart 'phone but...
I wasn't meaning to criticise your post in any way and I do agree with you. I am no expert but I feel that you must give viewers time to take in one clip before you move on to the next.
Hello Irvine, hey, we're the same age LOL. I am about to buy a Mavic Pro 2 I think (been thinking about it for 12 months now but it all seems a bit daunting to me) I am reasonably conversant with Windows, IT, etc. but it seems as if these DJI drones are so comprehensive in terms of what you can...
My first pc was a green screen Apricot with the dual 1.44k floppy drives as mentioned. Apricot were a company based in Birmingham U.K. and they were in direct competition with IBM and their PC. But it was expensive. I bought the pc and an Epson dot matrix printer for about £1800 .00 GBP. The...
