    "Bikeumentary"

Well Sir.. that was a most interesting and entertaining documentary, some very good drone work and Osmo action photography, taken whilst you were on the bike. Thoroughly entertaining, 24 minutes passed in no time, well done. PS how long did it take to compile, and what did you use for audio...

With all the law changes, can I sell a photo taken for hobby purposes?

Hi Everyone On point of topic, does anyone know the UK regs regarding the uses of non commercially acquired video..? Correct me on this point if I am wrong, but I understand that a video or photos taken by an organisation/business can be used for self promotional purposes even though it was...

Do you return home like a Helicopter or like an Airplane?

I concur with Dedal.... vis a vis situation/conditions, however piloting is fun, and as BrockRock suggest if situations allow, an aeroplane approach is more of a test of skill, otherwise you might as well just press RTH and have it done for you, as I have seen others suggest in different posts...

    Prop sliced into housing!

Hi Photogad I think that if you know what you are doing, and are a reasonably proficient pilot, then hand catching and release is not so dangerous, for some people especially on boats etc hand catching/release is one of the few options they have. That said take care.... Waylander

Having a hard time with your compass calibration?

Hi Airbeaver Glad you sorted it out, you answered your own question in the end. However to reinforce your point, I have even had the problem you described in a field, and on taking a careful look around, found a man hole cover for some kind of electrical or telecoms cable duct, so I could only...

Spain cops scanning DJI drone flights by Aeroscope

OK facetious statement retracted.... Sorry but it does seem to me that a lot of effort, money and Press time goes into the highlighting of perceived drone threats that thus far have not materialised, ( drug smuggling by drone into prisons, and the Gatwick Airport farce here in the UK not...

    Does it float in water?

Hi Calltrex There are aftermarket pontoons that you can attach to the drone to stop it sinking if it lands in water, but you need to get to it quick in case it flips over etc.... Good Luck with this Waylander

Common hazards for pre-site risk assessment

Well yes I suppose it could happen, you could make up a sign "Do Not Disturb pilot whilst flying Drone" or print "Do Not Disturb" on the back of your High-Vis vest, but as you suggest, ask them not to trouble you until you have landed, most reasonable people will co-operate with that, and if...

Common hazards for pre-site risk assessment

Uhm when you say a crowd do you mean a few people or the number of people that would constitute a crowd from the point of view relating to current legislation ( in the Uk it,s 1000 people). Waylander
