You should bring it every where you go. Taiwan has No Fly Zones, so if you cant take off, you know that you are at the wrong place. Just be careful not to damage property and you will be fine. Have fun.

I flew from an open park nearby, so it was wide and open. Landed manually, using the compass view to align the aircraft towards home location.

After gaining some experience, I landed manually.

Do not fly your Mavic outdoors, when the GPS signal is not ideal. GPS signals can be blocked by buildings. This is very important when you come in for a landing. If you lose sufficient GPS signal in flight, the aircraft will go to ATTI mode, and you will lose precise control.
