I understand, fly over the cliff. Do I have to fly it home too? Or will RTH keep it over the 400 foot cliff and then ascend when it returns to take off point?

What happened that got the Feds interested in just DJI drones?

OK, so "government" and rational" is an oxymoron. I agree but you didn't answer my questions.

What is the government's rational? Wouldn't pre-existing drones be grandfathered in? Is there a way to remotely decommission a drone so it is unflyable? What is the problem and what brought it on? I am thinking about semi auto rifles with a pistol grip, magazine and black.

When you register, what information do you have to give? Think I'll save $50 and get the combo with the smaller batteries.

I am hesitant to give the government any information. Over 249 grams, regulation says you must register, under 249 grams and it says you may register. Is there a good reason to register?

My question is answered. I have a very steep hill almost a cliff, 300 meters from my house where I will be flying. Checked a topo survey map to see the actual elevation change, 1600 ft to 2080 ft. I am still in the decision process, but it looks like a Mini 4 pro will work. Thanks again. Bill

I am in the USA. Does the 120m altitude above the ground limit mean the altitude of the controller or the altitude of the drone? Where I want to fly there is almost a cliff. If I set the limit at 120m will the drone stay 120 m above the actual ground or the ground where the controller is?

Can you record pictures with the Mini 3 pro or Mini 4 pro while not flying? Will the gimbal control work if it is not flying? Seems like I saw a demo of the camera moving while the drone was stationary on the ground.
