    Getting busy out East!

Yea, that extended TFR has been in-place since day of/day after the bridge collapse. Biden visits aren't anything new either. He lounges in Wilmington quite often, much to the chagrin of the many UAS pilots in the TFR zone. And he likes to 'campaign' Philly -- won't get into why that's the case.

    Getting busy out East!

POTUS going to Baltimore today to view collapsed Key bridge. Then at home in Wilmington for 4 days for more vacation time. Then going to Philly on Monday no doubt for a campaign stop.😒

    3 Mavic 3 - After the Snowfall

Glad you liked it - and thanks for the feedback. The one speed change was to sync with crescendo in the soundtrack, but that might not be obvious nor to everyone's liking. Yes, most maneuvers were manual. The clips showing the forested area were taken with waypoints to capture same area in...

    3 Mavic 3 - After the Snowfall

Other than some nuisance storms, we haven't had much snowfall here in Central NJ USA in a couple of years. After a 10" (40cm) snowfall 2 weeks ago, I sent up the Mavic 3 in my neighborhood to capture the views and activity. Haven't done a video in quite a while, so I thought I'd have some fun...

Battery Plus in Ireland or other countries

Yes, you will need to register. I flew my Mini3Pro with Plus batteries last summer in Dublin & nearby area. I registered my aircraft with the Irish Aviation Authority and I was in full compliance with their weight/class regulations at that time. You will also need to take their operator's test...

DJI Air 2s Hyperlapse Circle Mode

Another option for you - don't rely on the in-camera hyperlapse processing which crops the actual photos by as much as 30%. Instead, process the actual raw or jpeg files in post to use the entire frame for the hyperlapse. You might find that the captured images meet your need. Additionally you...

Drone Registration in France after registering in another EU State

It is probably best for you to contact the French aviation agency that regulates/registers UAS. They can (or should) provide specifics how to do the upload and tell you if you even need to do anything else since you already have pilot and drone credentials within the EU. Good luck!

    Folding leg extensions

Hand-catching and using a landing pad are useful in "normal" situations. However, the leg extensions would be very useful if an unexpected forced landing is needed in a grassy area. BTDT. I used to have them on my Air2s - no perceptible effect on flight time.YMMV. Having said this - I am not...

Air 2s Timelapse of a local bridge at blue hour

So true. DJI's in-drone process crops waaaaay too much from the original images!!!

Air 2 Natural Gas Tanks on The West Shore of Staten Island

Those are LNG tanks built in the 1970's (not 1920s). I drove past them daily during their construction. The tanks are abandoned. Local opposition rose quickly and vehemently due to dangerous nature of an LNG leak and difficulty in extinguishing any resulting fire. Reference: LNG Tank Concerns...

EU Registration Issue as a non EU-Citizen?

Looks like you received your A1/A3 training certification from Luxembourg and your operator ID is from Italy. These won't match as you probably indicated on operator id regustration that you would be flying first in Italy (not Luxembourg). Shouldn't be an issue.

    Recommendations for flying near Haarlem?

Will be arriving in Amsterdam in a few hours for 3 days of business meetings in Haarlem. With the long evenings, I am asking for any suggested places to fly, legally of course. I have training completion and operator registration certificates...and I can see the no fly zones on GoDrone app. So...
