I live near 60 Acres Park in Redmond, and do a lot of my flying practice there. Since it is off-season for youth soccer, the fields are available for RC use just about every day of the week. I see other quadcopter users there also. I think that changes in June when soccer picks up.

I ordered the Mavic Pro in February direct from DJI when their shipping wait time dropped down to 1-3 days. I live in Seattle area also and managed to fly it 30 times in the month of March, despite the weather. The unit has worked perfectly so far, including flights over water. Hope you have fun!

Hey, they claim a UDI818 has to be registered, but it only weighs .26 lbs. Seems like scamming to me.

If one wants to do banked or coordinated turns, both sticks need to be used. I think most of the time, people won't be trying to brake hard in the middle of a turn, while trying to drop altitude.

I'm using a locked LG Stylo 2. Bought it from Amazon for 90$ just to use with the Mavic, and it works like a charm so far. Haven't run into any issues yet. The main thing was I had to learn the easy way to bypass activation. It's actually a pretty nice phone.
