DJI Air 3 suddenly started to drift with the wind and did not obey the controls

Get the local stations reading, then use your judgement to fly. Bring an anemometer, they are truly cheap. Now I can only presume that the wind resistance variable is the point at which a drone will begin struggling to resist the head winds. The drone is overpowered and is stopped or carried...

DJI Air 3 suddenly started to drift with the wind and did not obey the controls

Mechanical and firmware aside. I use Airdata UAV to check flying conditions; I'm sure many here already do. Follow the app's advice. My personal recommendation for larger DJI drones (M3Pro), avoid flying in winds exceeding 25mph. Smaller drones limit flying in winds above 23mph. These figures...

3 Downtown Miami with the Rickenbacker Bridge

Sweet shot! I've gotta get down there and do some flying.

    Save a drown drone

Wheter you dunk it in the Tasman, South Pacific, Atlantic or Gulf of America (LOL) salt water kills. You had better flush it with distilled water 30-60 seconds after it hits the water. Fresh water dives are a little different but they still require distilled water. I keep a gallon in my trunk...

A picture of Comet Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS! with Air 2s

With that impressive list of nomenclatures, it is clear that you take your astronomy and astrophotography seriously. I have an 114mm newt with starfinder; older model. I loaned it to a family member. They brought it outside to view the stars, and proceeded to leave it outside for months. I...

    Drones "Spying" on New Jersey.

Gov't? They have places like West Desert, and Dugway to test new tech. If it is gov't, and they're flying these and not acknowledging the same, it would seem nefarious. If it's kids, elementary or otherwise, and they see the news coverage, the fear of repercussion should have someone clamoring...

    Air 2 Bath time

Beautiful! It's all about perspective. And that 48MP photo camera on the MA2.

Is Mavic Air 2 Worth In 2024

I think it's a solid aircraft. It's feature packed, withstands decent winds, and is very responsive. It's not known to wander astray. The 48MP camera, which one could quibble over, is at least as good as a 24MP. There are oodles of accessories both OEM and aftermarket and it's RID ready out of...

    Gross negligence in South Florida

A play on words given the bloody mess.

    Gross negligence in South Florida

Seriously. It's all data. It can be changed in a heartbeat. Back in the day all type was proofread before committing to presses; it was a rarity to find a missprint. Today, it's lazy, get-it-out-there reporting.

    Gross negligence in South Florida

I live a mile from this pier. This kid is not the brightest color in the Crayon box. That is a crowded pier in a 0 AGL restricted NFZ, about 2,800 feet south of FLL 28L approach. Heck, I'd love to video the Dania Beach Blvd Intracoastal bridge but even that's off limits. My own community is...

Gimbal overload and doesn't stay on centre

I see, dirt. If you get enough of that stuff in between the moving parts, it could throw a Gimbal Overload error.

Air 2 Vintage VW Driving through TX Bluebonnets

That's a cinematic eye for quality and composition. Should be flying for Hollywood.

One Pilot Controlling a Drone SWARM

Ah, RTK drones. New knowledge for me. I read up on it and I have to say, outstanding tech. Right now it's industry magic but I suspect RTK will eventually work it's way into the consumer market.

One Pilot Controlling a Drone SWARM

According to the video, the drones are programmed to do specific things and not likely to crash into each other or nearby objects. It sounds more like an automated system whereby the PIC doesn't have to watch each and every drone, just monitor the system. Query: What about the people who do...
