A picture of Comet Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS! with Air 2s

Been meaning to post this. Probably got extremely lucky as I knew where the comet was in the sky at my location, but could not visualize it with the naked eye. In fact, I had to go to black and white to come up with my best image.

Well, I used a 120mm refractor on a Losmandy G11 Gemini2 mount and a ZWO ASI 2600MC camera. I guided with PHD2 on the comet I believe on this shot for two min. I know this isn't drone stuff, but there you go.

With that impressive list of nomenclatures, it is clear that you take your astronomy and astrophotography seriously.

I have an 114mm newt with starfinder; older model. I loaned it to a family member. They brought it outside to view the stars, and proceeded to leave it outside for months. I retrieved the scope, cleaned every inch, removed rust from the rusty parts and used black spray paint on those parts. It looks great. I cleaned up the OTA, and I'm thinking of painting it a different color.

The mirrors are shot. I have a process for cleaning mirrors, and while I removed surface crud, I could not remove exposure to the elements. A form of intrusion all around the outside of the mirrors. They look awful. So, it's down to ordering glass and collimation. I might sell it to put towards a 130mm.
