“Disable Sideways Flying” not an option in my menu.

I have the latest firmware on my Mavic Air 2s and it’s not an option in the menu.

Any suggestions where to look?

Check the Obstacle Avoidance part of the menu in the app.

Depending on what it's set for, the sideways disable option may appear.

That's the way it is on my MA2.

You can disable sideways flying? Why would you want to? I would think that you just have to push the right stick fore and aft and avoid side-to-side stick movement. What am I missing?

Is this what you’re referring to? I accidentally pressed this button in flight (and missed the notification that’s quickly shown) and figured it out only after I awkwardly flew home without being able to fly sideways.

Keeps the drone from running into objects it cannot "see". No side sensors
