1080p still photos

Recently purchased a mav 2 zoom. I can shoot video when fully zoomed in to 96mm in 1080p but cant figure out how to take stills. It will only let me zoom to 48mm when in camera mode. any ideas?

In video mode you are at 2x optical plus 2x digital.
Stills are only 2x optical.

In video mode you are at 2x optical plus 2x digital.
Stills are only 2x optical.

Because you can crop stills externally, no need for digital zoom.
