1hz screen refresh rate

Problem? The refresh rate on the phone screen is approximately once per second, too slow to safely fly from.

Was unit in a crash? no

What have you tried so far?: Updating all firmware, making sure firmware on phone and Mavic match.

What device are you using? Galaxy S6

What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)? newest

What Go app version are you using? 4

Any modification? its all a stock unit

Did you change anything or install any apps? I haven't flown the Mavic in about a year, prior to this it was flawless. When I went to fly a few days ago, I immediately updated all firmware before flying so I'm wondering if this is a firmware bug or if there is something I can do to fix this.

Do you have a video or pictures of the problem? No I don't sorry

Most likely the updates caused the problem, but you could try:

Ensure no other apps are running.
Clean up memory space on the Samsung.
Put your Samsung in airplane mode.
Use a quality USB data cable from the center RC port.
Turn off caching to the Samsung.
Check all settings. Some get reset to defaults after updates.

You mention updating the firmware. Did you also update the Go 4 software? A Go 4 software made my under-powered Samsung tablet unusable so I had to downgrade it. I have not updated for over a year for that reason.

Try a more recent phone. S6 is 4 years old, and unless it was changed probably has a half dead battery by now which is likely to limit its performance on top of that.
