Do most members here select either 2.4 or 5.8 on the day at the place of flying or do you just leave it on auto. Am I right in understanding that the longer the green line the better.

Not to go off topic, but on my Samsung Note 9, the search feature doesn't work.
To the OP, my preference is to leave it on auto. I change it if I notice I'm getting signal degradation at close range.
