Air 3 2 Photo's 51 years apart.

It is very difficult to do the Before and After shots. I have some amazing shots of just that but I have chosen not to publish them. I spent many hours trying to get the picture perfect B+A. I've put them in my own frames to enjoy. I love this hobby of flying. Excellent comparison.

I didn't set out with the intention of getting it pinpoint accurate. It's more just to give an overview of how things change over the years.

Good before and after shots. However, both seem to be a bit washed out.

I like shots like this. When we are around something all the time, the progression is hardly noticed until one day, we say when did that happen? This is interesting to me because 1) it shows the interchange is still being used and hasn't been re-done. 2) Nature continues to progress without our help.

Nice job - CID!

Had to rotate Google maps to get my bearings in this one! It’s my fav turn off when visiting Stirling but still confusing about which way to enter the town - maybe I need to visit more to get the hang of it….
Great idea though, thanks for posting.

I use this interchange everyday and when I seen the 1951 pic on a facebook page I just had to go and do it. As you say, it's amazing how the layout has never been altered yet nature continues all around it.

My pleasure. There are 2 exits which will both take you into the town.

That's nice work!

I also feel the impulse to take photos just to document things. There are folks who love film. But if you're trying to take a photo with accurate colors... it's not great. Looks like the original was on print film. The new shot is so much more realistic and the colors are accurate and pleasing.

Thank you. It's just a phase I'm going through. There's a local facebook group and I've just been looking through the pics and picking out aerial pics from the past. It's actually difficult to get the exact same shot. I'm guessing older cameras maybe had different lens set ups.
