My purchasing agent told me ours, with a discount, were just north of $3600. They are going to be nice I'm sure. They are used exclusively for editing/rendering video and other CPU intensive tastings.

Keep in mind, I had to do my replacement (as stated in my message) in the spring. The latest MBP models were not available. However, I still would have gone the same route I went.

Well I'm being given the MBP. I get refreshed almost every year. I have a ton of observations on both sides of the, soon to be argument, but out of respect to the OP and the "2014 MBP" topic I won't air them.
