Hi, brand new pilot and I’m starting to get my head around video editing. I’d like to do this out in the field so I have two options. I have an 8th gen iPad (128gb) and I also have a 2017 12.9 inch ipad pro 512gb

Ideally I’d like to use the 12.9 as it has loads of storage space and a nice big screen.

Is the 2017 iPad Pro capable of editing 2.7k video or it it a bit too long in the tooth?

I plan on using iMovie or maybe investing in Lumafusion. Recommendations most welcome.

Thanks.

The 2017 iPad Pro will work great with 2.7K video using Lumafusion. Once you get good at editing you’ll want to upgrade to an iPad with USB C connection which will allow editing directly from an SSD, hence, you won‘t choke up your iPad internal storage.

the new ipad mini 6 is quite a powerful little tablet that still fits in the stock mavic 2 pro remote holder...

I was using a Full Size iPad 8th Gen and it worked great with the DJI Fly App with my Air 2.
However, I recently just purchased a Mini 6 as the Full Size iPad was a "bit much" from the physical/Top heavy perspective.
