Hello all. I have a friend that has the Mavic Pro, and I really like all the features, but I am concerned with the proprietary hardware, e.g. replacement motors, etc. My question is if it is possible to by a DJI Flight Controller, GPS, etc., and be able to use a 3rd party TX & RX, maybe some additional sensors, and still use DJI 4 GO software or LIitchi, etc.?

I realize that the Mavic Pro has a different FC than they sell on their site, but wondering if something like the N3 would allow me a similar experience?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

The DJI hardware is great, it's their software that fails. Luckily, there are other vendors for the software.

Thank you for your reply. But will sensors or TX/RX from other vendors work with their FCs?

I doubt it. You'll probably spend a lot of money experimenting just to find out that nothing else is compatible.

As @Mossiback said, the DJI hardware is great. There really is no reason to attempt to replace it.

I can't help you there but I am guessing some knowledgeable person will chime in.
