4k-24fps - phone shows as 8MP in details - odd!

Hey Guys

I've a MA2 and shoot in 4k-24fps. I recorded some footage of a local woods and edited it in Resolve - all good and the end result looks good I think

An odd thing I noticed - I transferred the video file to my phone (Huawei P30) and viewed it all good.

But I noticed when I (on my phone) click the info icon on the video that it showed 8MP on the details - see attached screen-shot

Does this mean that the video shot as 8MP - surely not. Might not be relevant as the video looks good when played on my phone but was curious

Any thoughts would be great.

Surely not .... mainly because there's no such thing as 8MP video.
Perhaps you were confusing 8MP with 4K and 8K video?
What you are looking at is a frame grab from the video which was shot at 4K Ultra HD: 3840×2160
And the file size of a 3840×2160 still is 8 MP
