A bit concerned about my Mini 5 Pro

I ordered the drone from Ebay, a seller I had seen others order from, back in October. Due to being away, I just recently was able to get it. The packaged seemed all new as does the drone. Taking off, however, it hesitates right after liftoff as if it's going to not go anymore. Then it suddenly takes off. It seems to fly as if it's always in speed mode. The controls are very touchy. After watching videos, I adjusted so they should be easier but they are still that way. You barely move the sticks and it reacts very fast. Also the controller (with the screen RC2?) seems to run low on battery. After two flights with the drone, the battery is half way done and running out on the third drone battery. My Air 2 can fly for a week without needing recharged. Last evening I took off for a sunset filming and the picture was tilted, as if the gible was tilted. I brought the drone back down and the gimble was straight. I landed, shut it off and on and if was straight again. Also the drone no longer shuts off when I fold the right leg. It used to, it still turns on, just does not shut off. I am 107 licensed and have been flying drones for over 5 years so this is not my first. Just wondering if this is normal with the Mini 5 Pro. Sorry for the long post.

Gidday! Have you tried calibrating the IMU? Sounds like an un- calibrated IMU to me.

I also have a mini 5 Pro and new RC2 that came packaged with the drone, and I wondered about some of the same things you noted: Lifts off very quickly, and then goes backward a few feet (maybe due to the pitch angle of the drone at lift off). Very sensitive controls in the vertical mode, RC2 battery seems to discharge faster, or does not have the same battery capacity as my older RC2 that came with my Air-3. After experimenting with the control settings, nothing seemed to work very well, so changed back to the default settings, but the sensitive vertical axis control remained. Other than that, it flies fine, and the camera is terrific. Speed is equal to the Air 3.

I’ve both Mini 4 and 5 Pro’s and fly them with an RC2. Neither of them move backwards after takeoff, either on the button (when hand launching) or when controlling motor start and takeoff with the sticks. This mirrors the behaviour of my other drones so would suggest there is something wrong with yours. The Mini 4/5 Pro stance in the air is normal for these drones but does look odd after older designs.
