A2 and FPV UK questions

Hello all.
I am currently flying an Air 2S and will probably move onto an Air 3S later in the year. I know this will probably have been asked loads but here goes .
Looking into doing my A2 C of C, I also notice there’s a site called FPV UK out there, do I need to get the A2 to join FPV UK for flying closer to people/more places or is it a separate thing? Just a little unclear that’s all.

No you can join FPV anytime , you do not need the A2C of C

Until the new rules are announced there’s no guarantee that a2cofc will be of any use come 1 Jan 2026. Article 16 reduces you to 30m in non residential areas but you do have to do a risk assessment per flight. It’s not required to write it down though.
