There is an abandoned airport out near Death Valley in Nevada. I used to set up telescopes there and do astrophotography.

Lately, those abandoned airfields are getting restored, they used to be for agriculture - now for recreation, but this one caught me by surprise as it was not marked on the NFZ map, but it looks renovated
