One can only wonder what happened here. It looks like a retirement community--with the clothes lines and several homes with ramp access. Eerie for sure. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for sharing; very interesting footage and story. Looks like a great place for beginners like me to learn to fly. My burning question, though, is how in the world did they come up with the name, "Hillside"??

google search, it was a low income housing development closed by HUD, seems they cannot agree on whether to sell, to update or do something with it
Concerned about the dilapidated condition of their housing units, the Brooksville authority agreed to remove the tenants from Hillside Estates and Summit Villas five years ago. They worked with the county's authority to get Section 8 housing vouchers to find new residences for the displaced tenants. After that, officials said, they expected to merge with the county's housing authority, but that didn't happen.
