Accidental waypoint mission

A few days ago, I was setting up a waypoint mission, but when I went to I start it, because my screen was so washed out in the sun, I could not see what I was doing. I accidentally flew an older mission. All went well, but it makes me wonder. What would happen if I accidentally try to fly a mission recorded here in PA while I am in VA? Would it fly away? Sure, I can cancel the mission, but just wondering. Is there a safeguard limiting how far you can be from your start point?

I think the app will say first waypoint to far and it wont start the mission
