Air 2S shooting in H.264

For some reason I’m only seeing an H.265 option and I have to shoot some in H.264. Trying to avoid having to use Handbrake to transcode. What am I missing? Thx!

Are you in one of the "log" formats/video settings?

High frame rates, like 60 fps, may only record using h.265. On the MA2 4K/60 will only record using h.265.

I'm thinking think 60 fps will force you into 265 so you could lower the frame rate. I only have the Air 2 so not really sure about the S

...you can't do DLOG/HLG in .264 (it automatically switches to .265)



Same with the 5.4K resolution, it defaults to .265

(My MacBook is 2015 and doesn't like the .265, so I have to use 4K maximum)

Great question, I was wondering the same thing.

Thanks for the answers. I can now record in h.264 and not have the issue of stuttering playback on my older Macbook Pro.
