I've been tending to use the 12MP for both wide and telephoto panos. The stitched panos are plenty wide for huge prints.

Something I use occasionally is Topaz AI to upsize images if needed. I'm really not convinced the 50MP images are much better, especially in low light areas.

Are you using the 360, 180 or Free pano modes the most often?

Are you using the 360, 180 or Free pano modes the most often?

I'm using 180 and Free pano. My preference is free pano so I can get more foreground. Not really interested in 360.

If detail levels are critical to a particular shot, the best strategy is to shoot in both modes and then pick whichever comes out better. Most of the time, however, you’re better off sticking to 12MP mode. It is much faster and takes up less space, with at best a marginal loss in image quality.
